Vandaag laat ik jullie enkele van mijn eerste foto’s zien die getrokken zijn met mijn Nikon D3000. Weliswaar toen nog met de 18-55mm kitlens.
Als ik er nu op terugkijk had ik die lens al veel eerder links moeten laten liggen. Maar het is en blijft een goede lens, alleen de mogelijkheden zijn beperkt. In het begin dacht ik ook niet na over camera instellingen en ook niet echt over de juiste compositie. Als ik iets zag dan was het point and shoot. Maar ik had dan ook drie jaar intensief gebruik gemaakt van mij Fujifilm Finepix A920. Het was dus wel een beetje aanpassen dat ik mijn beeld niet op mijn scherm zag maar echt door het gaatje moest kijken. Daarna was het gewoon klik en de foto was klaar. Instellingen? Neen, de camera deed alles vanzelf.
Ik hield me lange tijd niet bezig met belichting, sluitertijd en diafragma. Ik had er geen kaas van gegeten, ik wist niet wat het was of wat het deed. Gelukkig groei ik op een in tijd dat internet hot is J. Sinds de laatste drie maanden ben ik echt bezig met de technische aspecten van mijn camera en dat toont in de foto’s. Ook al schiet ik nu sneller geheugenkaartjes vol om toch maar die ene foto te hebben waar de belichting wel goed is. Maar ik gebruik eindelijk mijn hersenen eer ik een foto trek.

Today I will show you some of my first pictures taken with my Nikon D3000. Those are taken with my 18-55mm kit lens.
When I now look back at that time, I had too leave that kit lens behind much earlier. It’s a good lens, there’s no doubt about that but your options are limited. But then again, in the beginning I didn’t really thought about camera settings or the correct composition. If I saw something I wanted to photograph, it was just point and shoot. I found it hard to look trough the viewfinder because I had been using my Fuji Finepix A920 for three years in a row.
I had to adapt a little bit that I had to look through the viewfinder and not been able to see everything on my screen. When I saw what I wanted to see it was just click and the photo was ready. Settings? No, the camera did everything by itself.
For a long time I wasn’t concerned about exposure, shutter speed and aperture. I didn’t knew what it was and what it did. But fortunately I grow up in a time that the internet is hot. Since the last three months I’m really learning about all the technical aspects, and that shows in my photos. Although I take more pictures to get that one shot right, I finally use my brain before I shoot.
